R. Bates & Sons, Inc. was founded over 100 years ago in 1919. Founder Reginald Bates bought one of the first steam shovels ever used in the state and built a successful and highly respected heavy construction company which has stood the test of time.

Reggie’s dedication to his clients and employees is the foundation that the company was built on and is carried onto this day with the present management team.
